We were very impressed with Longo’s small-format store in Liberty Village.

Longo’s is a family-run chain of grocery stores headquartered in the Greater Toronto Area. They operate approximately 35 stores in the Toronto and Hamilton area. They are known for their selection of fresh foods and premium ingredients displayed with a true Italian-Canadian love of cuisine.

They recently opened a location that is a much smaller footprint than they are used too; the store on 1110 King West is only 23,000 square feet when most Longo’s are approximately 40,000 square feet.

This unconventional footprint gave them license to try some other unconventional features. The shop is fully-licensed with a wine bar and beer tasting center thanks to Toronto’s Amsterdam Brewing Co. There is also a coffee bar cutely disguised as a food truck inside the store.

Here are some of our favourite pictures courtesy of Toronto Life (read their full article).

Longo's Juice Bar, and blue coffee truck.
Orange juice bar and aisle with bakery.
Frozen sections and Ferraro Roche pallet display.

These are our favourite parts of the store. Check out all of the pictures of the store:

Note: this is not a portfolio piece. We did not do the work in this store. We are appreciating what Longo’s is doing with this store.
